Portrait of the Artist

We had a super dinner with our friends Sara and Christian last night.  They really spoiled us with gambas a la plancha (shrimp on the grill).  Christian marinated them in his special sauce and they may have been the best darned shrimp I have ever eaten.

Christian also showed us his latest sculpture, the first one he has made with Carrara marble.  This is the best stuff around, the kind Michelangelo worked with.  When polished, as Christain had done with his sculpture, the finish is incredibly smooth.

It’s an abstract piece, representing the torsos of a man and a woman embracing.  Val really liked it, especially that smooth finish.  In fact, she could barely keep her hands off of it.  And I couldn’t help noticing that it was the man’s butt she kept rubbing.

I guess it's time to pull out my Buns of Steel workout video and get cracking.
